Happy Valley is a family owned self catering guest lodge situated on a small citrus farm in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands, Western Cape. Two rivers border the farm, the smaller Kastaiings river and the Franschhoek river which joins the Berg river about 4kms downstream. We are surrounded by mountains and boast exceptional views.
Happy Valley is situated 5kms from Franschhoek and is a stroll away from the famous La Motte and Môreson vineyards. Join in our harvest and pick your own clementines in season!!
Our swimming pool is in a secluded spot by the river with ancient oaks offering shade, and there are various braai areas around the Farm. There is a laundry service available.
Our Manor House and Cottages offer the sought after peace, tranquility and privacy you'd expect on a privately owned farm, with the lively little village of Franschhoek, food and wine capital of the Cape, a mere 5 minutes away...

La Maison
The historic Manor House, dating back to 1711 and the time of the early French Huguenots, has been beautifully restored.
It can accommodate up to 11 people in stylish accommodation. The Manor House has a spacious upstairs en-suite room with shower and queen sized bed, a double room sharing a full bathroom with a single room, and also a family TV room.
Downstairs is an en-suite room with a shower and a queen size bed, a double room with twin beds and a smaller double room en-suite with toilet and basin.
The homely farm style kitchen is fully equipped and has a dishwasher and fireplace. The lounge and front patio lead onto a beautiful garden with braai area.
Wonderful views, and tranquil mountain vistas will add to a truly memorable stay in the Franschhoek valley. The manor house is ideally suited for larger groups, and wedding parties staying over.

Laragne
Laragne has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. It has two bathrooms, one with bath, one with a shower.
There is a separate lounge, dining and kitchen area, with a fireplace in the lounge for those cool winter days. The French doors lead onto a brick-paved patio in the shade of a wise old Camphor Tree, and the beautiful front garden.
Fully equipped kitchen, TV, All linen and towels are supplied.
Rates: R600.00 pppn / R850.00 single / Children 3-16 50% discount per child.
Lorraine
Lorraine is a secluded little cottage on the banks of the Franschhoek River making the perfect romantic getaway.
There is one bedroom with a Queen size bed, a slipper bath and hand basin, plus a separate bathroom with shower.
The open plan fully equipped kitchenette leads into the lounge area with a fireplace. The cottage has an outdoor braai area under the age old oaks overlooking the river, helping you to unwind and enjoy the warm country hospitality. TV, Linen and towels provided

Le Pavillon
Le Pavillon is a double storey cottage with two bedrooms upstairs, one with a Queen size bed and one with twin beds.
It has two bathrooms, with the bath upstairs and the shower downstairs. The main bedroom opens out onto a deck overlooking orchards and mountains.
The lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen are all downstairs. There is a cosy fireplace in the lounge, and underfloor heating in the lounge and main bedroom. TV, All linen and towels supplied.
Rates: R600 pppn / R850 single / Children age 3-16 50% discount per child.
Matopi
Matopi is situated in its own enclosed garden area and has full access to the rest of the farm. It has one double room, one room with twin beds, a shower, and with an open plan lounge/kitchen area.
Rates: R550 pppn for 2 guests / R520 pppn for 3 or more adults / Children 3-16 pay 50%.
